That is a toughie. I remember rooting for OSU in the BCS game....however, when they got smoked, I still had this odd feeling of elation.

What I'm saying is, I rooted for OSU before I rooted against them (now who said that before). Its a win-win situation really, its easy to take something positive away no matter what the outcome.

I hate em both, but hate the bucks more. It's not possible for them both to lose, so screw osu.

By the way, noah has the worse shot I've ever seen in organized basketball. My wife said he's also a horrible singer on american idol.

that is the crazy part he has to fly back and forth to sing and then make it to basketball. Impressive I guess.

Buckeye,

I have rooted for OSU at times and against them at other times.

In '99, rooted for them to make the Finals. This year, rooted against them.

In football, rooted for them in '02 vs. Miami, rooted for them to beat ND in the Fiesta Bowl (someone had to shut up Weis), rooted against them vs. UF once UM got smoked in its Rose Bowl game. Had UM won the RB, I would have been pulling for you to smoke Urban Cry-er. After we lost miserably, I thought the best thing for misery would be company from a rival.

We have gone through a recent historical low in our sports program. Lloyd is 2-10 vs. OSU and bowl team since '01. UM basketball w/o a NCAA bid since '98. It has been ugly but it won't last forever. Lloyd is over 60 and won't last through much more criticism if he continues his "win one, lose five" run in big games. The fans are very restless already (if this web site's creation wasn't enough evidence for you). The next coach HAS to be better better than 2-10.

Beilein needs only to make a NCAA tourney to bring back to life the UM BB fans. That should not be hard to do, but it may take him a year to get his own players in the program playing better hoops.

Tosu, at times, is an exception to my "Big-10" first cheering policy. In the past, when teams like Illinois, Michigan St, or Indiana were the class of Big-10 basketball, I always pulled for those teams. The big difference: when those teams win, their fans aren't unbearable.

The big-headed Tosu fan / monster came out after the 2002 NC, and forever changed the way I look at rivalry support. I cheered for Tosu that year, only to endure years of bad-behavior and taunting. That arrogant smirk, usually on the face of a fan that never attended Tosu, when I wear my Michigan gear, was never there before the 2002 NC. I never got that when Mich St won their NC several years; they just set a few fires in East Lansing and life went on.

I can only imagine how fat the Tosu heads would have been if Florida hadn't defeated them in football & basketball this year. Perhaps a little karma has been returned to Tosu by the goofy orange & blue reptiles, who seem to absolutely have Tosu's number.
Time to go to work: no smirks, no Tosu fight songs, no talks of Tosu parades, a NC repeat, etc. Just a bunch of weary Tosu fans whose basketball team flirted with greatness, but like the football team, fell short.

PS - Tosu fans if your response includes something about Michigan basketball, you are still in avoidance and denial mode. That's okay though, if it helps wash that bad taste out of your mouth by distracting you with something that is off-point, do what you have to do to feel better. As a Michigan fan that was in school when the Fab-5 was #2 twice in 2 years, I know the emptiness that follows a NC loss.

Gee, I can retire from sports now and lower my OSU flag to half mass. Thanks Michigan Man for the wonderful eulogy. This loss was completely unexpected. It was devastating. I'm simply crushed. I'll have to put my OSU marching band (no more Hang On Sloopy) CD away and take my Brutus Buckeye Clock off the wall in my office. What humiliation! Oh the humanity! What can we possibly do now fellow OSU fans?

Does a loss have to be unexpected to be devastating? I remember an unexpected loss a few months ago.

I love how when OSU fans know their team will get their @sses handed to them, then pretend that getting to the title game was their goal and anything more is icing on the cake.

Whatever. Losers again. Sure, Michigan right now is in a football and basketball rut.

But you guys are at your peak!!!! AND STILL ARENT WINNING TITLES.

As I've stated before...I live in SEC country and always root for Michigan first and the Big 10 second.

I've come to a realization. Every time I root for tosu, they lose. So, I've made a decision to root for them all the time!!! GO BUCKS!!! Thanks for making my life a living hell down here in SEC land.

I was more than happy to see osu get what was coming to them.

I have never rooted for them, nor will I ever. I will root for every other Big Ten team but not for osu. What a great basketball season, Duke or UNC did not win the title and neither did osu.

Let me put it this way...if i was in the Air Force flying a strategic bomber and was pulling into Wright Patterson, I would detour and drop a boomer on Columbus. I know it would just spawn a master race of inbread's, but dang, that would be kewl.

Wait a minute. I thought that already was the case down there.
