Who has ideas?

I live in Wilmington, NC and as such, I am very familiar with the perfect replacment for Tommy Amaker - BRAD BROWNELL.

He is the current head coach for Wright State (where he's done a great job bringing them into NCAA tourney). Previous head coach of UNCW, where he was also very successful.

And the kicker - He is a midwest guy. He is from Indiana. Rumor is he made the lateral move from UNCW to Wright State b/c he wanted to get back into the Midwest.

Despite the 33 point loss yesterday, I'd take Karl Hobbs from George Washington.

Hopefully, Martin has learned from the Women's coaching program snafu about bringing in someone who knows the Midwest. There is a LOT of basketball talent in Chicago, Indiana, Ohio, and Saginaw, Flint, Detroit, and Grand Rapids. This isn't like football where the best talent is sotuh and west of B10 country.

With no scandals and a huge upside if the guy is successful here (anything is upside after 3,000 fans watch an NIT game on a Tuesday night in March vs. Utah State!).

I know that we are a football school, but look at what Berenson did with a winning hockey program. One tough ticket to get! We are so starved for scandal-free NCAA-quality basketball (even a 8/9 seeding) that fans will show up in crappy Crisler to watch a good team.
