Come on folks . Buckeyes or Wolverines, you all have to be wanting our Conference as a whole to do great things. Especially a Big Ten team in the BCS title game. Or in any big Bowl.

I'll be rooting for the Big Ten............

Would you root for Michigan in a national championship game?

I hope both teams play ineligible players, thus awarding the national title to one of the other BCS bowl winners.

As for rooting for OSU. I hope they get exposed, again. LSU is going to chew them up and spit them out. Boeckman against LSU's healthy defense. They are going to get rolled.

"Probably not as bad as 41-14."

Skeptic, I think you are throwing stones from a glass house....

1) If they did play Florida, I believe it would be worse than 41-14
2) Appilachian State my friend.......Oregon, rolling over and laying down for Wisconsin trying to get ready for OSU? Just to get slapped again......

You're probably 8 years old and don't know much history, or understand what you see each saturday. UM has a bad track record in bowl games, but not as bad as Notre Dame.........Your defense is horrible this year.......Florida Offense = Real Good. Only chance UM would have is a ball control scheme like Pitt used on WVU. nothing is impossible this year.

I personally think Florida isn't that great.

They are a hype machine this season with Teboe.

They played Vandy, South Carolina, Florida Atlantic and Florida State to end the season. Oooooh, scary schedule there.

They barely beat Ole' Miss, lost to Auburn? Their best WIN was (7-5) Kentucky. Not so impressive.

Yeah, I think that Michigan will get killed by Florida, I just think that OSU fans have no business talking about anyone getting hammered by the Gators after what happened last year.

Great, a QB that can run and pass. That always works out.

With OSU, Wiscky and UM possibly playing 1-2-3 ranked SEC teams and Illinois playing the PAC-10 champ, I have no option but to root for the Big10 overall. I think we need a statement bowl season, period.

Skeptic - I won't say I oppose your statement, but what happened last year was exactly that....last year. Two different teams, sets of players, experience levels....etc. The funny thing about this site is that everyone here wears their emotions on their sleeve (or in their posts). No one here has an impact on the game. I personaly think a large majority of the posters have never atteneded either school or really understand the rivalry. To answer your statement, I guess I would ask a question. Next year, when someone tries to throw up App State, how are you going to respond? I am not sure that the statements regarding UF beating up on UM are that far fetched, but what happened last year or even last week becomes irrelevant. In short, any given saturday this year it could happen and how do you compare a team in week one to a team at the end of the season. The entire season this year has been an upset and I think it started last year when both OSU and UM got blasted by USC and UF.

Bigboyblue - like or not you have made the most true statment I have read on this thread. It is the only way to restore the pride in the conference and regain credability in the media - the ultimate enemy - who will throw ever program/conference under the bus for a story.

I admit, when someone brings up App St., I have to own up to it. It was a horrible loss, and I have no problem conceding defeat.

I'm on the other side of fence. For all the talk of the SEC being the better conference, when teams win the Big 10 with less losses then the competition, they get the benefit of the doubt year to year when it comes to championship games. Ohio State fans gave Michigan fans a lot of crap following the App. State loss, and that's how it should be. We're rivals. I don't care about national perception as long as it doesn't really hurt Michigan. I'll root for the Big 10 in most bowl games, but I'll be rooting against Sparty and Ohio State. For me, it's that simple.

Why because I am trying to have a relevant conversation? A Troll is someone who is taking cheap shots, baiting people, what in my post was untrue or inflamitory? Do me a favor, ignore me if you choose, but don't post back unless it is relevant. I will do the same for you. I probably read 50 or 100 posts before I see something that catches my eye and I respond.

rickyleach
I understand. I know lots of people who just can't pull for their rival in bowl games even if they need them to help/win to advance their team.

Sparty
Agreed.....tired of hearing from the "Somewhat Erratic Conference" and how good they are.

michiganskepticfan
I admit, when someone brings up App St., I have to own up to it.
And I think most OSU fans would agree they took a beating last year....I think it was the first time I ever saw or sensed pannic in Tressel. It is all irrelevant if OSU/UM/Wisc/ILL have a good showing in the bowls. All the records go back to 0-0, hopefully UM gets a good coach, and big ten gets its swagger back.

I will never pull for Ohio State, regardless of anything. Even when an ex-buckeye player plays for the Lions, I still want to see him fail.

In case your wondering, I felt this way when we were winning too.
