Do you just think Michigan is going to hire Les Miles (or somebody else) and Ohio State is going to stop being good

Nope --- I've always felt that AFTER Carr, the rivarly would tend back toward the balance we saw in the 1970's and 1980's. Lloyd wasn't just having problems with Tressel --- he is 1-5 in bowls since 2001 with one more to play. He was 4-2 in bowls the first six years. The problem was much bigger than just "Tressel > Carr" --- the ASU game should have been proof for every OSU fan that Lloyd was no longer the right coach for UM.

14-3 is not "crushed"...I would say 56-10 is "crushed"

In the UM/OSU rivalry, since the Bo/Woody days, the only real "crushings" that happened were:

1976: UM 22 OSU 0
1984: OSU 21 UM 6
1991: UM 31 OSU 3
1993: UM 28 OSU 0
2004: OSU 37 UM 21

That's five routs in 38 years.

BTW: UM won at OSU by the same 14-3 score that OSU won at UM this year. Similar game, OSU scored first, UM scored two TDs and then the OSU offense was terrible. Turned out to be Woody's last game at the Horseshoe.

What happened the next year...OSU came in to Ann Arbor and won 18-15 under new HC Earle Bruce.

I am NOT expecting a win next year at OSU, given that Mallett has a lot to learn in his first season as a starter, but I expect that the next coach will be able to split games with Tressel.

McGuffie, even if he does come, is not going to make an immediate impact like some of you hope. Let's try and be reasonable about our expectations. If nothing else, this past season should have taught us that

ok coming from a person who does not do the recruiting research like a true fan does, your greatly mistaken. Mcguffie wil make an immediate impact he is an all purpose back with recieving ability. he runs a sub 4.3 in he 40yd. dash! hes insane, he has a crazy cutting ability and a nose for the end zone. check him out on youtube or even better rivals.com. check out the school site for previous season stats and records Cy-Fair High School, Texas.
