You mofos bad mouth us all the time.

I've never gone to a OSU fan site and badmouthed anyone. Any negativity you attract is a reaction to your trolling.

I was hesitant about the hire. If that makes me a troll then so be it.

As a buckeye...if you WEREN'T hesitant about the hire, that would worry me. The mere fact that you are, makes me believe it was good. Every single troll on here, with the exception of Buckeye Sweetie who thinks he's cute, has had negative things to say about Rodriguez.

This hire definitely struck a chord with you buckeye's. That's good!!!

A hire is never known to be good or bad untill you see the product on the field. Every single coach says the right thing at the press conference. I just want to see how RR's offense works when it gets cold or the weather gets bad. I also want to see how it stacks up against a conference that plays defense. Even though many of us loved Tressel nobody thought in a million years he would be as good as his is - if they did they would be lying. Alot of big name coahes have failed as well. NOTHING IS A SURE THING.

I'm with Nutty, I have no opinion of Rod, only that he's hot, until I actually see him in action with UM. I'm not losing any sleep until 11/21 & that's still debatable.

Think back when Cooper was replaced and how you felt. That's where we are right now. We're just glad Carr's gone and RR seems to be a huge step forward. You can't blame us for being stoked!!!

Hey Nut!

That is 2 posts of yours that I have read and actually can agree with, We won't know how good of a hire is until we see the product on the field but again as I have seen my fellow wolverines post, We have already started with putting one good product on the field, I believe he stepped foot on it the other day so already we are heading in the right direction, one step at a time.

Yes - the trolls want to extinguish our enthusiasm.

We have lobbied for years to sack Carr, and now that he is gone, we aren't supposed to be optimistic about our future with a new coach? Give us a break.

I'm not saying he was a good or a bad hire - I don't know yet. When Cooper was in C-Bus I just wanted him gone - period. The program was winning games (alot of them), just not the big ones. Then in his final game the Buckeye's were hitting guys late and giving out cheap shots - that was not Ohio State football. I wanted Tressel bad from a moral standpoint. Because of his dad and his YSU sucess I thought he would do great - not this great however. He was a special find.

So I can relate with the Michigan fans that just wanted Carr gone - we have been there. RR looks like the sexy pick on paper. I just hope the pressure of the job does not crush him before he can get a fair shot at suceeding. What I mean is alot of the national media thinks like I do and that is that Michigan does not have enough of the players to run the systems that RR has in mind. It might take 3 years. Will Michigan fans allow him that much time if he goes 0-3 against Tressel while building the program. Who knows he might come out of the gate like Ty Willingham and shock everybody - who knows. I would wait untill you see the team scrimage and practice to see what you have. One thing for sure is that Ohio State will be very solid for years to come and its RR's job to catch them.

100% agree with the above post. Every single bit of it! I don't know if the UofM faithful will be patient or not. But, in our defense...it's been so long since we've won the big game. We're just really hungry for a change. However, as you said...this kind of change will take time. But, I am optimistic.

At least we didn't end up with Ferentz!

I have not bad mouthed him, i have said this is a good pick for UM. I don't like it for the fact that WV is my #2 team and there losing a good coach... The only thing bad i have said, if this is bad to RR is; I think he should not contest the buy out he knew it was there when he took the job and he should honor that agreement.

1OSUNUT
you hit the nail on the head, this is what i have been trying to say, w/ the coaching change and OSU being pretty deep i think right now this can go either way, I predict tressel winning the first 2 from my biased and logical stance. Which i think could be terrible for U of M, I have said this if RR has the time 3yrs he will have a UM power house, but like nut said will he be given that long if he goes 7-5 or 8-4 the first few years and doesn't beat OSU

As if every Michigan fan thinks that RR is going to storm the football field, drive Tressel into retirement, and go undefeated while winning 10 NCs in a row. CARR IS GONE. Review the name of the website again. He is replaced by a young innovative coach who has done a tremendous amount with very little in WV. Now he has big time resources, and optimism abounds.

Of course there will be growing pains (Tressel took Cooper's 8-4 team and went 7-5 the next year). It may get worse before it gets better - RR has to transition his system and modern playbook into AA, which you can't do overnight.

Im two hours away from C-Bus - Im in.

I'm really curious how this spread thing is going to go over in AA. I know the people in Nebraska went nuts when they heard about it. They did not want to break tradition. I guess if it would of worked then all would of been good with the world, but when it failed horrible and the defense sucked - Callahan was dead. Thats when all the " I told you so's" came out. How will the spread be received in AA if the Wolverines start losing games. If you look at the Big East the defenses for the most part give up tons of yards and points - almost video game like. I can't wait to see how the RR system works against the Big Ten power ground games, Tressel ball and defenses geared to shut down the run completly. Maybe its just me but I happen to think the Big Ten as a whole plays much better fundemental football then the Big East.

One thing I know for sure is that Michigan is in for serious change. That could be great or bad. We will know alot more in the spring.

I think everybody (even Buckeye fans) want to see Michigan suceed - except when they play each other. It makes the conference what its supposed to be. the Big 2 and little 9. After alot of the disrespect Ohio State got after the NC game last year and by the preseason media I know alot of us took joy in seeing Michigan suffer - while Ohio State challenged for another NC. But I would not want to see that every year, we need each other to maintain our greatness. If Michigan sucks and Ohio State wins the Big Ten every year then we have to listen to the " Who did you beat" crap over and over. No offense but beating Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa every year does not have the same ring as saying we beat Michigan for the title - and visa versa. If Michigan wants to get back its national respect - they have to beat Ohio State.

The way its supposed to be.

Holy ****, I think this is pretty funny, I started out this thread with a chip off the old block and now people are agreeing!!! It must be the holiday season, peace be among all of, but come the new year, things will change but until then, GO BLUE! GO BIG TEN! and well, I can't quite come to my senses and say it out right, but GO BU.KS! There I almost had it.

Oh and by the way, I live in NJ and it usually takes me about 5-6 hours to C-Bus but I have had a couple cocktails since noon. It's our X-Mas party and well, it might not be too wise to be driving that far right now. And no, our secretary is not photocopying her *** on the copier. A couple more drinks and she might, I'll be sure to post them later.

why are there so many OSU fans on this site anyways?

I can't believe that's such a mystery. OSU and Michigan have a love/hate relationship. I love Ohio State and the rivalry we have with Michigan, therefore I care about Michigan's program. Hence that's why we hang out here.

I know there are some OSU fans on here badmouthing your hire but I for one:

A. Think RR is a great hire and Michigan will be back to their rightful place as national title and big ten contender.

B. Am not shaking in my shoes because I don't think OSU or Tressel are vacating just because Michigan is rising.
