RR is the biggest loser, what lowlife leaves the kids on the eve of a Bowl we are going to take it to Kelsey Grammer, and we will be thinking of all those WV football players... LOSERS

Wow, excellent content with cold, hard facts. You must have graduated "sum cumm a-lottie" from the Kirk Herbstreit school of journalism.

About a half dozen coaches and coordinators have already left for other jobs before bowl games you half-wit! It's a very common practice. The only Low-life around here is you posting on a rival website when the best you've got is "UM's new coach looks like Kelsey Grammer." What a stellar burn!?

Did you eat paint chips as a kid?

Your right someone has to get screwed here, his former players or future players, but if you had the choice why would you screw yourself for the next couple years?

ATLANTABUCK
Don't take this too literally. No one on this board wants to see you get too happy.

John Tressel is a saint! (I'll never let you forget that.)

I am mystified, why would any Mich fan get on this board to tell the world how great RR is before the ink is dry on his contract. Have you read how he just ditched his former team. Those kids worked all year to make it to a Bowl and to have him bail-out on them... HE sould he waited till the bowl was done!! Its the same thing that happened in Atlanta with Petrino...no diffence. So dont give me the crap about how jelous OSU fans are, the guys on my hit list... i understand he is your coach now, so now WRITE HIM A LETTER TELLING HIM THE WAY WE DO IT IN THE BIG TEN !

Who said anything about osu fans being jealous? Bro...you need to seriously relax!

Really? This really mystifies you? Let me get this straight...you don't understand why fans of a downtrodden football program, just hired a coach with a recent winning tradition, are singing his praises? Really??? This mystifies you???

I'm mystified that this mystifies you!

Mystified like when Earl John Jim Tressel gave his speech at the basketball arena when he was first hired and said in 300 and some odd days Osu was gonna beat Michigan!

And the fans went crazy! ( Mystified like that! )

You OSU fans are sweaten hard over this hire! Down play it as much as you want! Michigan struck gold and it pains you to see that!

I am not sweating anything ............nothings changed in November for 6 yrs

But the fact that Carr is gone and was just replaced by an Offensive guru who runs the same Offense that OSU has not been able to stop does change things and that is scary for OSU fans, whether they admit it or not.

Before his hire no one had him at the top of their list

Wrong Atlanta...I seem to remember lots of Michigan Men in here saying that they'd love to have RR come to Ann Arbor, but pretty much everyone was convinced that he wasn't interested in leaving Morgantown. Think before you speak a s s head!

he is not LES miles my friend, and thats why we are sleeping good tonight

You buckeyes are such duplicitous sycophantic dip s h i ts, you know that? When Miles seemed to be coming you guys ranted and raved about what a crappy coach he was, and now that we got someone else, you say, "he's no Les Miles!" Which is it d-bag?

You guys are like politicians -- always vascliating back and forth to suit your fragile egos and to hide your near paralyzing fear that Michigan will now be using all that talent instead of wasting it on off tackle 1970s crap!

I wanted Miles, yet I thought that RR would be great, if he were interested. I am very happy with the hire, mostly because you jerk off's are squirming and wriggling like sewer sludge and trying desperately to defame a guy that is a great coach. As I have said of you lot in here repeatedly: show some contrition in the face of success, exhibit some class and some logic before you enter OUR website and talk trash -- lest you'll be doomed to continual perpetuation of the stereotype of your kind as brutish morons who spew venom at people for simply trying to enjoy their own fandom and football tradition.

Be honest Atlanta -- what allows you to sleep well at night is that bottle of Old Crow by your bed, and that third nut that you just busted on your life-sized poster of Jim Tressel.

"A s s head," there's one I haven't heard since the playground.

Rich was a good hire, but casting doubt in your minds is what we do, no doubt you would do the same to us, that's why we have a rivalry. Sleep well knowing you have one of the nations best coaches, but you can turn a little knowing his record in big games. In three years we'll have a better gauge, but expect a lot of smack talk during these first couple.

Unbiased fans would look at RR's WV Sugar Bowl win over Georgia (in Atlanta) in 2006 as a big game. Apparently RR can beat the SEC, unlike certain other coaches.

My new favorite post...I bet AtlantaBuck needed to look that up...(given his inability to spell...see: "selous" and "diffence" above) , I truly believe he gained his ability (or lack thereof) to comprehend the English language from tOSU!

Having one big win doesn't constitute as a good record, Carr can attest to this.

Interesting you say that...because if Tressel gets blown out in another MNC game, folks may start comparing him to the Bills of the 90's...

Carr only had one big win in his 13 years? If you're talking about his 1 win against Tressel as his only big win, you're leaving out the 5 other big wins against OSU...that is a convenient omission.

OK. So Tress has only won one big game, too. He lost the other one in Catherine Manheim ugly fashion. OSU should probably start looking for a new "good" coach, huh?

well he has won one big one and made it there another time, but the other ones ie, bowl and rivalry wins he is doing pretty good in as of late... i think we will keep him, what do you think?

I was talking in the last 6 years, I should have clarified that, and make that 2, one bowl win and one win against Ohio State. I need to double your credit.

So you are cherry-picking stats to make Carr look bad. Carr was coach for 13 years, not 6, and he beat OSU 6 times in that span.

You're right, Carr was a great coach these past 6 years because he was great the first 7. Let Florida State know that too, please, I'm sure they are dying to receive the consolation.

That's not at issue here. It was claimed that Carr only won 1 big game (OSU). I contradicted that by pointing out that Carr won 6 times against OSU. Whether that was good or not is not the point.

My comment was a lot more vague than saying he only won a single big game in 13 years, I was referring to having a bad record in big games, which is absolutely true over the last 6 years, this is a considerable time-span, especially in college football where it's all "what have you done for me lately."

I don't really don't understand why you've devolved this into an argument over semantics though, it was an interesting thread for a while.

Back on topic, the people saying "he's no Les Miles" are not the same people who criticized him, taking comments from one OSU fan and applying them over us as a whole is nonsensical. Most of us will agree now that Rodriguez is a much better fit than Miles, that man would have embarrassed on you on a weekly basis on and off the field.

It "devolved" because of this comment, dude:

Having one big win doesn't constitute as a good record, Carr can attest to this.

Clearly express your point the 1st time and other users won't have to correct you.
