p.s. i wanted WV or Cincy in the big10 so we could have a playoff, so we could play 2 weeks later and not sit out 6 weeks between games
I wouldnt mind a 12th team either...Probably Pitt...
Problem is it would kind of detract from the significance of the UM / OSU game.

no i was saying if WV played in the big10 vs osu and um and penn state that they would have lost more than 2 games and not had the same stats... but i will give you that he better have better recruits at um
Maybe in the past but not this season. The Big 10 was down this year. I know people hate hearing it but it was.
What, did the Big 10 scrape by and squeeze Wisconsin in to the final AP rankings? All season they pretty much only had 2 teams ranked at a time.
The Big 10 finished with 3 teams in the top 25 of the final BCS rankings (OSU, Illinois and Wisc.). The Big East, they had 4 (WVU, Cinci, USF and UCONN).

I think the character of the coach can eventually have an effect on the team. If he loses heart, he's not going to care and it's going to show in the play calling & from his boys. Cooper had a horrible character & in the end, OSU had a bunch of apes not showing any respect for the program, the school or the fans.

Look, lets be honest, Carr as bad as his record, post Tress, was a true Mich man, like Tressel a man of character, was very honest at UM and with the kids in his program. Honestly I would not have slept as well if you guys had hired a coach with a giant heart and character like John Tressel don't YOU understand what makes a good coach a great coach thats why Tress beat Carr and Tres will always beat RR...Character 7) RR looks like Kelsey Grammer
Listen, nobody lost any sleep when Tressel was hired! If the ball took a few different bounces in the past, you'd want his head! That's what I thought...
Comments like "giant heart and character like John Tressel" or "Tres will always beat RR" are clearly speculative and biased at best. By the way...the one about RR looking like Kelsey Grammer, is my favorite. Just like all of your other comments...total CRAP and has nothing to do with nothing!
The fact is...RichRod's a winner! He's a huge step above Lloyd, which is what's making you squirm, prompting all of these prejudiced conjectures. He's a proven winner bringing a style of coaching to Ann Arbor that concerns those from the south. He's the type of coach that programs like Alabama tried their best to lure but couldn't because WVA boosters ponied up millions to keep him!
You may not lose sleep at night, but I guarantee Tres and his boys will be. This one question alone proves it...Would you rather put together a defensive scheme against Lloyd or Rodriguez?

yeah when big10 teams beat each other there down when sec or big east teams beat each other this year... they were just beating up on each other
purdue unranked only lost in big10 play
florida loses 3 games early and still in top 15!!! biased or are those teams better... seasonal play matters more than stupid opinions and polls

And another shinning example of the OSU edumacation. Hey pal, RR wasnt at the top of anyones list because he had already turned down Bama last year and said he was going to retire at UWV.
and I dont recall Tressel being at the top of the list for OSU, asshat.

I am sitting at my desk and when I read that, I just burst out laughing. The other 2 guys that work for me just called me on my phone and was like, " What the hell is so funny so I sent them AtlantaBucks post and they were dying as well. Thanks for the laugh. Let's be honest here, the two best coaches turned you down. Don't give me that crap about how great Kelsey...um RR is, okay? Tressel is The Man that got Lloyd fired period, without those four (4) losses in a row then Michigan has 4 darn good years in a row and at least two (2) NC game appearences and old Lloyd is still the man in AA. Don't even think of Mich beating us for at least 3 years... well he's better than lloyd...OH BROTHER

There is a very distinct pattern to RR's coaching. WVa has contended for the NC Title game the last 3 years, and when the game that they really needed to win came along, they choked. Louisville, one year, Rutgers the next, and now USF & "Pitt". In each case WVa had the superior talent and the patended "spread offence", but choked on the game they really needed to win. This is merely an observation, from watching the games. You don't have to be a football analyst to have noticed the trend. But in all fairness to WVa, Rutgers and Louisville did the same thing, one of them lost to the other every year, or lost to WVa., when ranked in the top 5 and undefeated.
He may work out, or he may not, but either way, he is here now, and here he will stay, as long as Martin is AD. He will win enough games in the BT to keep his job for a long time, because of the recruiting at Michigan. 9-3 or 10-2 and a bowl, will solidify your place, in Martin's heart, even 8-4 or 7-5, will get you through to the next year.
Loyd Carr would still be there, if he had, chose to stay.

I must say you got me, because i just threw the OSU controller in the lap of my 1 year old and schooled her! And last I checked she was real people too!
Tonight i'm gonna step up my game and give my real people gramma a bitc-h slappin! And no she does not have arthritis, so don't even try it!!!!
