Every college football player dreams of playing at the next level, especially if you are a Quarterback. Michigan is Quarterback U period

First of all I doubt this, and Notre Dame, BYU and a few other teams would probably agure with you about this.

But, anyway Michgan's days of sending "any" QBs to th NFL are numbered. you're going to the Spread offense and the NFL does'nt usually take a lot of chances on running their QBs up the middle when they have Millions of dollars in them, and the spread offense is'nt designed to put NFL type QBs on the field, anyway.

TRESSEL WE TRUST , you have every right to get excited over T/PRYOR maybe going to osu , i was at the osu ,, /wisky game when pryor made his visit , where we sat was behind the end zone where all the recruits were . pryor was right in front of us talking to chad matta until the game started. their is no question osu is doing all possible to get this kid. but the real facts are he was going to go to WV, because of rich rod, PRYORS high school coach knows him and followed the exact same offense richie runs. THIS is why PRYOR WILL GO TO MICHIGAN AND NOT ELSEWHERE. his offense is a perfect fit , not a spread offense knockoff like osu runs.,when tressel had troy smith.THE ISSUE WITH PRYOR IS NOT SO MUCH THE SCHOOL BUT THE COACH. WE BOTH KNOW OSU AND MICHIGAN ARE GREAT SCHOOLS.AND YES WHO COULDNT GO WRONG EITHER WAY.

So he can most likely play second banana fiddle for three years and start one season for someone who's never produced a pro QB? If he has that little sense I guess I don't want him, the logic just isn't there.

"So he can most likely play second banana fiddle for three years and start one season"

He would start script right away. IMO.
Thank you for reading my post.

Pro football sucks anyway. College is all that matters because it's the last time these guys play for something bigger than themselves. In the pros almost always the player shows no allegiance to the city, but only to the dollar. I think big pro sports fans are allot dumber than the average college fan because they're myopic and fail to see that the player could really care less about the town they play for and are just chasing money. How does that get you psyched up to watch such crap? I even have trouble getting interested enough to watch former Michigan players.

I don't blame the players one bit in the NFL. They are treated like meat and when they can no longer function are discarded with zero loyalty to them.

Also, you must factor in that these guys are going to be in tons of pain afte their playing time is over.

Go for the money, and as much as you can get because people are making tons off you.

PRYOR WILL START SOON AFTER THEY SEE OR KNOW MALLET CANT RUN THAT TYPE OF O,i feel bad for mallet but what can you do.as soon as pryor starts then you will see the real direction michigan is going. i also think richies first year will be alot of bumpy roads, i think if michigan wins 8 games in this transition year would be good.and this might be wishful thinking. michigan will recruit a differant type of player,so this is why their is so much promise with them. think about this FOR YEARS BOTH MICHIGAN AND OSU RECRUITED MOST OF THE SAME GUYS. this might not be the case anymore because of the system. even though you osu guys are curious you have to admit this really could change the way the entire big 10 thinks with football and yes on the other side this could be a complete failure in the big10, but i really think this was a great move for big blue. all of us know osu will be the measuring stick, if we continue to get beat year after year and still go 10-2 that wont be good enough.

I'm not weighing in on the morality of it. Just that it's boring. The fans are more into "repping" their city than the players who get millions to do so. It's hard to get passionate about someone who doesn't share your passion and is trying to win for completely opposing reasons. In college most of these guys won't go onto the next level and playing for a big school like Michigan is probably going to be the highlight of their life. Also, the only school they will represent and love for the rest of their lives. Completely different than the boring Pro sports.

And he'll accomplish that at OSU? OSU isn't even receiving a single vote right now for the AP or coaches top 25.

They will be there way before Michigan will. I don't have to tell you that though !

"Tressel is a conservative coach. Troy Smith was not his normal QB style. His team this year is more like what he prefers to lead --- run the ball, throw a bit, and play great D."

Ill say it again. Tressel doesnt have a set offensive style. He runs whatever is gunna suit his best quarterback. Thats why Troy ran the spread. And if Pryor wants to come to Columbus it will be no different. It would be stupid for Pryor to not choose Ohio State just because he thinks Tressel only runs the traditional style of offense.

ok all u suckeye fans how many starting nfl qb's has osu produced since tressel took over? and dont give me this smith crap the only reason he is starting sunday is mcnair and boller are both hurt and inactive for the game, and urban has only produced alex smith who is a bust in san fran, who cares how many nfl qb's rich rod has produced, however for those who say he hasnt produced any you are wrong he did produce shaun king, granted he was a bust but no other qbs ive stated have done crap in the nfl either

That era is now dead. We will see how many of your spread QB's go to the NFL.
