Lions looked rusty and slow in the first half and didnt have a passs rush. but wow, crazy second half. Onside kick by the Lions, missed FG by the Bengals and 489 yards passing by the lions. Calvin looked geat. Ok, I know its pre-season game but the Lions fought back from a 16 point deficit in the 4th to win. A lot of work to do but a great game to build on.

Plus, "Michigan speedster" Ronald Bellamy caught a TD pass. Super Bowl, here we come.

T.J Ducket fumbled into the end-zone. O'Sullivan's tipped pass at the 10 was run back for a TD. The Lions could have had 10-14 more points.

A few plays to work out, a few kinks to fix and these guys 'might' go .500

Positives:

I liked the 2 minute drills at the end of each half. both times they scored. a FG at the half and a TD at the end of the game.

The on-sidies kick was crazy. went about 35 yards and they recovered

starting Defence held the Starting Cinn Offence to 3 FG and no TDs.

The offence moved the ball but most if it came in the second half.

defence SWARMED to the ball. 4+ lions on every tackle

'good' pass protection. only 1 sack I remember

Down by 16 in the 4th they started playing harder and with attitude and won.

Play calling was great. The on-sides kick with 2:30 left was a great call and the passing attack was amazing.

Negatives:

starters looks rusty on both sides.

starting Offence gave us a goose egg, (0) points but moved the ball.

NO pass rush even with blitzing until the second half. Then only from blitzing. Rogers was missed.

defence gave up a lot of yards.

D-line STILL jumping offsides for stupid penalties. This has bugged me for 3 years.

3rd down converstions were horrible.

NO RUNNING GAME

Well, I live in A2 and the game wasn't televised there. Hhhmmmm--what, did they sign up with the Big Ten Network?

They looked like the same old Lions to me. I think it is going to be the same disappointing year from them.

Yep, if we can count the preseason games we have a shot at getting around half of the wins Kitna promised. Our skill guys on O aren't any worse than most other teams' skill guys it's just that our line is non-existent. Yeah, only one sack allowed last night on Kitna but I gotta doubt Cincy was bringing it. He was hurried on every throw.
We need a pash rush. My dear lord how can you not get ANY pressure whatsoever? Palmer had time to look at all the receivers thrice before deciding on 2 options. Then he'd do some more research on who he threw to more recently and then analyzed the impact of that. He'd then call his mom and set up a lunch date for later in the week. I think he even called his stock broker once or twice to make some trades. After about twenty minutes of this he'd just throw it up to CJ, move the sticks, and do it all over again. He may have even text messaged a few of his buddies to schedule drinks after the game at one point. Same old, same old.

Oh, I almost forgot: Bellamy looked sweet out there. Don't be surprised if he makes the practice squad. Soared over 13 defenders to haul in the TD that ignited our comeback.

ok now lets get serious, if carson stays in the game, its about 80-0 by the half. i think he was throwing blindfolded to make it challenging.

seeing as how my bengals had exactly 1, thats one starting O lineman playing the first game and still won, i'm happy. oh and leon hall had a hell of a game starting in place of joseph, 1 caused fumble, a few solo tackles and an all around nice showing.
