Seriously? Can you link to that?

I don't know how to feel about this. There's something to be said about showing class, but coaches probably have the responsibility to do whatever is in their power to help there players.

******* Canada. I would have liked to hear that. Say what you want about Miles, but it's obvious he cares about his players. Turning down his dream job to stay at LSU and then foregoing the celebration to take care of his team. He's earned more of my respect today, although I still think he's a shaky game coach.

They also talked to Richt and Carroll, they're having all the coaches plead their case.

Of course Miles denies being contacted by UM or having any talks about them. He makes it sound like he never even entertained the thought of going to UM. LIAR!!!

I guess after what Urban did with his team last yr., I guess other coaches this yr figure it could help them too.

When Urban Meyer lobbied for his team last year, all of the OSU fans on this site thought it was a great idea. I think its disgusting. One of my favorite memories of Carr is that he decided not to Lobby.

Miles was asked how long he would coach at LSU in that interview and all he would say is something like "for some time". Miles also went on to say he didn't think a coach should come in between a teams NC hopes, leaving the door open for the UM job. Miles really isn't my first choice but this Miles to UM thing may not be over.

They told JT to call in, but if I were him sportscenter would be the last thing on my mind.

Lobbying .......to me , makes people sound desperate.

What else is Tressel doing right now? Deciding whether to lobby or not is a tough choice, but my guess is he was watching the games today and knows the score.

The only thing is OSU seems to be a consesus title game participant. I know it's a bad idea to connect your product (in this case, Ohio State) to other products generally considered inferior (or in this case, not as worthy).

What else is Tressel doing right now?

My guess is that Jim Tressel goes to bed at 8:30 pm on school nights and stays up late, like 9 or 9:30 on the weekends. The only calls the local switchboard operators allow into his bat cave after he goes to bed are the collect calls from the Franklin County jail from one of his arrested players.

That's my guess, anyway. But I liked how the self-important Sportscenter anchors were doing their best QVC auditions by updating the number of available minutes Coach Tressel had left to call in before their show was over.

We do not have to groval and beg like Michigan did last year. We are in and we get to keep our pride. I find it funny how coaches go on tv like some kind of crappy reality show begging to the media and nation to pick me. Tressel is sitting back watching them all make @sses of themselves just waiting to see who is is going to outcoach this year.

Tressel is sitting and waiting with the rest of his team. And letting the pieces fall where they may.

And the pieces look like thier gonna land Ohio State in New Orleans...............No lobbying, no whining, no begging.........just waiting.

Pleading is pathetic.

One of the reasons Michigan didn't get picked last year was that they didn't beg.

Dude - your going to get blown out by Florida this year and the 3 all timers that are in your offense this year will end their careers never having won the Ohio State game or a Bowl Game. ... and Ferentz will be your coach and we will continue to own you for another 5+ years.
