Thats right, UM is #1 in hockey yet again. Miami of Ohio lost one of 2 against Alaska and we vaulted into 1st place.

My love for a sport isn't bound by mass appeal. Enough said.

One Nut, out of cheap seats to spew some hatred for UM. Big surprise. If you don't care about Hockey then why post about it? I would guess the only reason you care is because you see happy UM fans and want to try and ruin their enthusiasm. Basically, you're not just an A$$, you're the O-ring.

Really let up on the internet thuggery, it does you no good.

Yes, OSU beat them but they also beat OSU. Did we not go over this in another thread, the fact that they split a 2 game series? Its only one of 2 games we've lost this season while OSU has only won about, oh I'd say about 5.

Believe it or not NUTTER hockey is one of the primary sports and OSU is in arguabally the best hockey conference in the NCAA.

Hockey is enjoyed by the majority of the USofA these days in case you hadn't noticed, and I'm sure you haven't. Typical OSU thug mentality, if OSU isn't good at it then who cares.

Again, like Iowa fan says. If you don't like hockey then why do you post in every single hockey thread? Is it because you can't stanfd that UM is good at other sports so you want to try and ruin it for us? Go muck off then.

LMAO.

Nut doesn't "care" about hockey but he points out that OSU beat UM once in a two game series, as if that somehow matters?

Hockey isn't a major sport? Since when? Since OSU stopped fielding a competitive team?

What's it like not even being able to fit in a tool box?

Ohio State is in the soccer final four as we speak and that sport is more popular nationally then ice hockey is. Outside of Michigan, Minnesota, Maine, Mass and very few other states - who cares. The NHL could fold tomarrow and life would go out without even knowing it. I guess hockey and wrestling is all you guys have since every other sport sucks horribly.

Ya, that's why we've been in the top 7 schools for total athletics ever since they started making a list. Good call again nut!

In what sports ??? In all the major sports the ones that make money and are popular - Michigan sucks in. Football - a mess, Basketball - horrible, womens basketball - horrible - etc.

Congrats your better in ice hockey (maybe), gymnastics, swimming, cross country and other minor level sports.

Well the OSU contendors in all those sports care about them as much as you care about football yet we mercilessly whip their asses year after year in them. To the players of those sports it matters, not every Buckeye only cares about football a few true fans take pride in every sport.

Aren't you one?

Football - NC game, Mens Basketball - NC game, Womens Basketball - Big Ten Champs. That is the three major college sports.

Ohio State is in the final four in soccer this week and our wrestling team is loaded up with Ohio high school state champs and will be a nation power for years to come. The baseball team and golf teams are always very good as is volleyball.

There is only a handful of sports Michigan is better then Ohio State in and to answer your question - YES I cheer and take pride in all of them.

Then why all this talk of not caring about hockey, gymnastics, cross country, swimming just bc they are unpopular?

Hmmm, I smell a hypocrite.

Going to have to disagree with you on that one if you look at the Sears cup standings (which ranks all athletic sports)Michigan is 10 spots ahead of OSU.

Don't worry Sparty Nut will find some ignorant arguement to futily try to go against that solid fact.

Do I dare bring up the fact that U of M is ranked 25th in American Universities in Academics while OSU is a lowly 57?

Im sure Michigan would trade in their sucess on the womens softball field or on the ice rink for a football or basketball program that was not a laughing stock.

I wonder how hockey threads always end in this drama. Who gives a sh!t what hypocrite NUT thinks important? He dangles and everyone bites like a mofo.

I like your tactic of ignoring the evidence that UM is 10 spots above u in athletics and 27 in academics

Were #1 in the football and I would not trade that for #1 in hockey any day of the week. In fact the football program makes the school so much money that they can have all these other sports.

Im glad that overall your sports teams are ranked higher. That should make you all feel better next year when your football team goes .500. I guess when your down as low as Michigan is right now you look for anything to make you feel better. Im sure many of you still have VHS tapes of your Co-CHAMPIONSHIP for 97 that you SHARED with NEBRASKA (who would of drilled you guys on the field).

i still love you tactic of ignoring the academics aspect Nut... is it too crushing that your school is second rate at its main purpose? to educate?

57 out of how many schools ??? I would say that is middle of the pack - not bad.

THEWolverineMachine

I would say that on average that means no matter what state you live in there is a better school to go to than OSU. Now that is second rate.

There are more schools above you than states.
