Sack Lloyd Carr / Fire Lloyd Carr!? / Fock Lion: UM beats Gators

All you haters just sit down with your self indulgent whing crap.

UM is gonna win this game.

Three teams beat Florida this year. So can we.

And, of course, I will endeavor to explain how and why. FIRST: Henne will have time. The offensive line and backups are getting healthy. Henne should be healthy, as well as Hart who we can safely qualify as very healthy.

SECOND: The D got better with every game. They held OSU to 14 even given terrible field position. Isolate Crable on Tebow.

Third: Fewer distractions. Florida, in playing basically a home game, and with all Tebow's accolades, will be the much more distracted football team. All we got is our stanking (gulp) coaching search.

Fourthly: No Time Zone penalty. That bites us regularly.

Fifthly: If Manningham is to have a decent whiff of the NFL next spring, he gonna have ta hab a big ol game.

Sixly: Morgan Trent.

Seveneth: We never lose 3 in a row.

Eightish: Will officially be in Lloyd's 14th year. The 13th year curse dies.

Ninth: Because.

Go Blue!

You're talkin' crazy. The gators are gonna FOCK YOU UP.

It's going to depend on the running game to control the clock, ala the Florida vs Auburn game this year.

Crable plays D-end vs spread teams. Besides, do you want to put a spy on Tebow when Percy Harvin will run free in the porous UM secondary?

Sixly: Morgan Trent.

The one thing UM has going for them is that Heisman trophy winners generally don't do well in bowl games

Actually if you count last years loss to OSU our loss to USC in the Rose our horrible loss to APPY this year and Oregon the next week thats four in a row.

Maybe you mean we dont lose exactly three in a row

This game will be over at halftime.

And the OSU game will be over after the first play, oh wait... that's what you were thinking last year after that kick return.

Boy were you wrong.

Two different animals. One team is hungry and angry after last year and are looking to prove something. The other is a bunch of overated seniors that will be faking injuries before halftime because they are pansies and have no fire or heart - sort of like their lame duck coach.

I don't think so, wasn't everyone saying that about us before this year? And then we were a major let down..

History repeats itself Nut, you should pay more attention.

Your right history does repeat itself - were right back in the championship game. Yes the very game your seniors came back to play in. History will repeat itself just like 2002.

The big difference is that our players have pride and will play to the end to save face against LSU. Michigan on the other hand has players with other agendas already and are trying to just get out of the game without getting hurt. Michigan has been lifeless on the field all year - why do you think the bowl game will be any different.

And OSU's signiture victory over Illinois... oh wait that won't work. Over the horrible Michigan team you speak of that has no life more than qualifies them to be in a NC game again!

You guys earned it. The best team in all of Ohio congrats!

Nobody else stepped up to take the top spot. We left the door wide open and nobody wanted it. We have as much right as any other team. Our only loss is to a BCS team. Stop being such a hater. It must pain you to see how good Ohio State is and is going to be for years to come while your team cannot even find a person to interview for your coaching job, much less accept it.

No actually it doesn't pain me. What would pain me is seeing my overrated team take the place of more deserving teams such as Georgia, USC, VTech, heck even Hawaii in the championship based solely on name. I wouldn't want that brand of undeserving glory.

Not one of the above mentioned teams should be there above Ohio State. Georgia did not even win their division of the SEC, USC lost to frickin Stanford, VTech already had their shot at LSU and got thumped and Hawaii played a joke schedule. Say what you want but the correct two teams are in the final game.

Spread offense! - Who is the clown in this topic thinking a Michigan team will show up on Defenese and stop a spread offense???? Lets see- Texas and Young killed us, Troy Smith and Ohio State killed us, App State smoked us, Oregon and Dixon beat us like a drum, and Syracuse when Mcnabb was there buried us. It is not so much a spread offense it is when you get a running quarterback that jumps all around back there, is fast, and can throw. Teeeebow who is not any where close to these guys mentioned will do the same and beat us by 17 easy. I think Ron English was there when most of these guys beat us. That would be the worst mistake in Michigan history. Or better yet the offensive coordinator. Michigan returns all these people and we never show up or throw down field against Ohio State. It only took one or two deep passes to get OHIO STATE out of the box. They knew we would not throw with Mallet and they were not going to let Hart beat us. Simple Simple Simple!!!! 14-3 - How Lame Michigan. Don't blame the weather throw the damn ball!!!! Run Right, run left, throw to the tight end, run up the gut that is Michigans playbook. We need a SEC guy or a Pete Carroll or someone one that is OFFENSIVE minded and recognizes speed or we are dead. OSU is good but ZOOK and Illinois is the next champion because of the speed at key positions. He is from the SEC and knows speed will win in the BIG TEN. Untill Martin realizes that and that run run run will not get it done Michigan will continue to fall down the big ten ladder.

If that thinking helps you sleep better at night for undeservingly ruining the seasons of many other teams just to get pounded in the NC.

I agree Michigan needs to step in the future use the spread offense. It doesnt have to be full time but it would be a nice change of pace.

I'll give you the Oregon game, but all those other ones were lost by 1,3,2 points respectively. Key was the offense kept up with the scoring, which didn't happen this year.

Correction - Texas' kick killed us as time expired!!!! Michigan was winning that game UNTIL the final second of the game when they made a miracle kick to vault them into their National Championship season the following year.

NSIT,

Normally, I would agree. I can think of so many cases where a team gets motivated to prove a point. However, UM has to be the least feared team in this regard. They lost 4 games immediately after Bo's death for crying out loud. This team is NOT motivated, and it appears they never get that way.

Imagine the outcry in Gainesville if Florida loses to a Big 10 team IN Florida. They will have lost to a team that got beat by Appalachian State, got drummed at home by a Pac 10 team, has a lame duck coach, and really has little to play for.
Would there be calls to fire Urban Meyer?

I think Michigan has a solid chance if Henne and Hart are healthy. Any injury reports???

Biatch slaps reporter spits on Urban kicks Tebow in the balls,

Maybe Lloyd goes out with a bang, old school Woody Hayes style, delivering a Charlie Bauman sock to Tebow and then riding off into the sunset...
