I say this with "all due respect". Okay?
"Okay". And I say that to graciously acknowledge your love for the quotation marks.
If you've been lurking as long as you say you have, then you've probably seen that this is more a discussion forum that is keeping it real than asking for Carr's head anymore, save a few maybe. And I do think you'd be hard-pressed to find a Wolverine fan who is utterly, totally content with the program right now, here or elsewhere. If you're that happy with Carr, why are you here?
I guess what I'm really saying is, don't call me unhappy ok , all that expensive therapy I undertook after the Rose Bowl will be laid waste...

You know I think we are both missing each others points and, quite frankly, I cannot judge your tone in your last comment.
You are misunderstanding me, I am misunderstanding you which is frustrating to me. Game over.

I agree back to recruiting, a good example of why I asked this question in the first place is the new QB potentially coming to Michigan from GT. (not sure if he officially committed yet)
He states one of the reasons he left was coaching changes. I know that has to be a concern for recruits, especially since I see first hand how much of recruiting is developing relationships with the assigned recruiter and the potential coach. It would have to impact a program if coaches leave, even slightly, right?
Also, someone mentioned that the depth chart is good now at QB, what do you consider good depth? 3 or 4?

As far as the relationship between coaches and recruits, there is always the risk of a Coach, Coordinator or Assistant leaving for greener pastures; whatever they may be. A retiring coach who is stepping aside amicably, will most likely have a hand in choosing his successor...therefore, you've got a much greater chance of the hire coming from within the family. From a recruit's standpoint, this would much more desirable than a completely new staff, system, and relationships to forge.

Henne's fault too and sean crable can't block but mostly coaching. The whole staff shouldn't make it out with jobs none of them. I don't care who they are.
You just crippled one of the best universities football programs for a long time.

R Madia, don't pay any attention to the many morons on this site who bash Lloyd Carr or Mike DeBord. I've met both personally over the years on many occasions at various functions, and they both struck me as honest, caring, well-intentioned people.
What happend to GOblueGo? Not going to support your boy when he needs you the most? Not being a good Michigan Man are we?
[i]It's true that Carr is no spring chicken, but the rampant rumors of his impending retirement are just that, rumors.
Care to repeat that statement GoblueGo?
A lot of people on this site have referred to me as many things, to include "14 year old". However, the one thing you should call me is "correct". Many of us joined this site to rant and rave about a horrible coach while others called us crazy and stupid. Well, how do ya like these apples. I see many new names on this site and I guess we werent all that dumb after all. To all the post-Black Saturday members, welcome. In the back of everyones mind we knew something could happen that would hurt the program. Such as another OSU or/and bowl loss. But none of saw this coming. He now has sealed his fate. Years from now he will not be mentioned as a NC and Big Ten champ, but as the guy who lost to App S.

When Jerkoff Carr and Martin are fired, recruits will realize Michigan is serious about winning again. Thanks Lloyd and FU Bill! Why has this program ben allowed to continue to be so average under Carr?

Hopefully C. Wilson will see the potential to right the ship and restore some UM to elite status...The class that can go out and win successive Big 10 championships and possible an NC will be remembered and go down as one of the most important ones in the history of the school

Has ANYBODY heard this past week the continuing, sickening cracks made about THE WORST DEFEAT IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY?? Everyone from Leno to Olbermann to God only knows who else has said it. ESPN. ABC. You name it, this is the tag UM is gonna wear the rest of this season, and for however long Carr is head coach.
Get used to it. This is the future saga of your, "Michigan Man", as a head coach, for the forseeable future.
The ONLY way this is going to be dropped is for Michigan to understand that the absolute best coach available must be brought in to do the job. Yes, the education is FIRST....absolutely. The TRADITION has to be understood and appreciated. Take potential candidates thru Schembechler Hall, let them see what's there....if he doesn't get it, go on to the next guy. (Only an idiot would miss that message, and he wouldn't belong here, anyway.) Make them learn about Bo, and the History of Woody/Bo, the legacy of the program. That's what a Michigan Man is, someone who GETS IT, lives it and breathes it, and teaches the kids what that means as he prepares them to hit the field.
Bo was an OSU guy....and HE got it. So, screw all this hyperbole about only a Michigan Man (as in, ALUMNI or coach on a previous staff) being the ONLY guy to head the program.
You build your own legacy at Michigan. You don't pick up Crisler's or Yost's or Schembechler's legacy, and carry it on your back like a load. You move in, set up shop, and build your own here. Doesn't matter where you come from, it's what you do when you get here that matters. It's not just W-L, it's the entire picture. And it takes a career to do that, it's not inherited or something you acquire by going to classes on campus.
Integrity. Drive. Character. Loyalty. Perseverence. Honor. There's so much to being a Michigan Man, and you can't get it because of your zip code or living in a dorm or anything like that. You have the makings of being one, becoming one- or you don't. "Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS" is about more than being a player, too, you know.....
For you people who want your kids to come here- Carr has to leave, in order for this program to get back to where it needs to be. The game has passed him by, and his failures on the field haven't translated to the kids who've graduated or gone on to the NFL. He's got character and integrity- his recruiting your kid and leaving Michigan won't matter in the end. There'll be someone come in next, who'll be every bit the man overall that Carr is....but he'll (hopefully) be a much better coach, make sure your kid goes to class and gets his degree- but will ensure the program, overall, is the winningest it can be. And that can only help your kid succeed even more as he goes into life....with, or without, football.
If you want your kid to get the best education available AND be part of the best program there is, send him to Michigan. This program has endured for over 110 years now, is the winningest in all of college football, and will continue to be that no matter who is calling the plays on the sideline.

Recruiting will be fine under Carr as it has always been...however, I think it would be even better under a new coach such as Tedford, Gruden, Schiano, Meyer....etc etc...
